I love the internet but man can it be frustrating at times. When it comes to weeding through all of the different websites, trying to find what you are looking for can be a real challenge.
This seems to be especially true for our industry; when it comes to trying to figure out what is the best network marketing training you should be implementing, it can get downright infuriating.
There is just so much “stuff” out there. So many people telling you to do this or do that. I get it; I’ve been in the same boat trying to figure out who I should be listening to and what I should be doing.
So on this blog, I try to keep it simple and share with you step by step training that walks you through exactly what you need to be doing at the different stages of building your business.
Plus I am always here to help. You can reach out to me at any time with questions you have and I will definitely respond to you.
But What is the Best Training Robb?
If I had to whittle all of my training down into 1 blog post and tell you what training is the best of the best it would have to be the following 7 things:
- Make the Decision
- Treat Network Marketing like a Business
- Commit to a Daily Personal Development Regime
- Focus on Recruiting
- Launch or Re-Launch Your Business with a Bang
- Start with the People that You Know (warm market)
- Transition to Recruiting Strangers (cold market)
Do a Search on Side of the Blog
You can find loads of training on these topics on this blog. Just do a search on the side bar and you will get a lot of material to help you master each of them.
Today what I am going to do is quickly touch on each one of these seven items and provide you with links to other posts on this site to help you master each of them.
Let’s get at it then…
#1 – Make the Damn Decision
Yes the “damn” decision my friend. Because out of all of the training I could give you this is the one that will make or break it for you.
You need to really decide that you are going to do this thing. Really decide that you are going to do whatever it takes to become a success in your business.
Most people do not do this. Most people come in with the attitude they are just going to try it and see how it goes. If you have that attitude you are not going to make it, it is as simple as that.
Success in network marketing is like achieving success in anything else, it takes work, it takes dedication, it takes a serious commitment and it takes self-discipline.
It takes you making the damn decision to do it no matter what!
Sit down and have a serious heart to heart with yourself.
Ask yourself why are you doing this? Why do you want to build your business?
If your “why” is strong enough and if network marketing is the means by which you can achieve your “why” then make that rock solid decision to get to work and stay working and make this thing happen for yourself.
If others can do it, you can to. Once you learn the right strategies, you are going to find out it is not a hard business to build, it is actually rather straight forward, but it does require a rock solid decision!
So decide my friend!
#2 – Treat it Like a Business
Is there a high failure rate in Network Marketing? You bet your bottom dollar there is.
Do you want to know why that is?
It is not because this is a hard business.
It is not because of the lie you hear that people at the top only make it (there is no such thing as the top when you really understand this business; everyone has the same opportunity).
The reason people fail is because they do not treat it like a business and in fact most people treat it with less respect then they do their job for that matter.
If you invested your hard earned savings into a business whether it is one you start from the ground up, buy from someone else or even a franchise you are going to work your tail off to make it a success, you would treat it with the respect a business deserves.
Most people do not do that in network marketing.
They treat it like a hobby they don’t even really enjoy.
They work at it here and there. They get on the odd training call. They do a little bit of the training. They might ask a friend every once in a while if they want to try the product.
They call 10 – 20 people, are rejected, become discouraged, and tell themselves it does not work and they quit.
You MUST treat it like a business, you must put the time in daily working it, you must get trained, you have to stay the course and stick at it even when you don’t feel like it.
#3 – Commit to Personal Development
The fact is I do not know of one person in this industry who has made it to the top that is not committed to personal development.
When I say personal development, I mean a daily regime of reading, watching and listening to motivational and self-help material.
Material that will keep you excited and motivated towards achieving your dreams. Material that will help you become the person you need to be in order to be a success.
The fact is you are going to have frustrations in your business. It is going to happen. You are going to get discouraged from time to time.
You have to be able to pick yourself up when you are down. You have to be able to put the work in on days you do not want to. You have to be able to motivate yourself to make that prospecting call.
Person development is what allows you to do these things and to stay on track.
Success leaves clues my friend and this is a big one. If the leaders in network marketing do personal development, you had better make sure you do also.
One of my favorite personal development routines is before getting on the phone to recruit I watch a motivational YouTube video. These guys put out some of my favorite videos to fire me up.
#4 – Become a Top Dawg Recruiter
Recruiting is the name of the game. It is the number 1 skill set you want to learn and master.
Learn how to successfully sponsor 3 -5 new distributors into your business each and every month and you will become a success.
The best training to focus the majority of your time on is recruiting no question about it.
What is truly awesome is that you can become a very good recruiter. Anyone can! Everyone has the ability to learn this skill. It is not hard, and in fact successful recruiting is a simple process.
But it is a skill set that must be acquired. And one that pays very well.
#5 – Launch or Re-Launch Your Business with a Bang
One of the best network marketing training I ever received was when I first started in the business I was told to launch it with a BANG!
Just like a rocket ship launching into space the majority of the energy is expended at the beginning when it first takes off.
You want to do the exact same thing with your business.
Put in a ton of energy right out of the gates. Expose your business to as many prospects as possible as quickly as possible.
For me it was over 250 people in my first 2 weeks. I blasted through my contacts and as a result I signed up a good number of them, and created serious momentum right out of the gate.
Building Fast is the Name of the Game
Trust me this business is so much easier to build fast then slow.
If I had of taken 6 months working through those 250 people my success would have taken much longer to achieve. (and may not have happened!)
By getting through my list in my first 2 weeks I became excited, I started making money and my team started growing quickly.
If I had of only talked to 5 or 10 people per week it would have slowed things down for me drastically.
You want to launch fast.
Been in the Business for Awhile? Re-Launch Then!
You can also re-launch at any time.
If you have been in your business opportunity for a while now you can always re-launch at any time. Come up with a new list or go back to your original and blast through it.
If it is an old list you have already gone to it is not hard to go back to them.
You can simply say that you knew the opportunity was not for them last time you spoke but you wanted to touch base and see if they are open to looking at it now.
Or you can find something from your company as a reason to be calling them. Meaning companies always have new things on the go, whether it is a new product or competition etc.
Either of those are an excuse to call your contacts again.
“Hey Joey remember that opportunity I shared with you 6 months ago? Well they just launched a new fancy dancy product and I wanted to see if you would do me a favor and take a look at it and give me your opinion”!
Remember your goal is to get eyeballs on your opportunity or product, asking someone to do you a favor or asking for their opinion works great.
The key when launching or relaunching your business is to get as many people to look at your opportunity as quickly as possible.
Build that momentum, find the people who will be joining you, get them started while you are meeting new people and building a new list and then re-launch again.
Repeat this over and over again.
#6 – Start with Who You Know
Sharing that you are starting a business with your friends and family is not something unique to network marketing.
Every single person who ever starts their own business wants the people they know to support them.
This is especially true for industries such as real estate and personal financing, investing, car sales, etc.
It is simply a smart way to launch your business. These people already know, like and trust you (hopefully), so they are a great market to start with.
Network Marketing is No Different
Now in network marketing not only are they a great market to start with they are crucial to your success.
Watch out for any training or leader who tries to tell you different.
There are countless supposed “gurus” out there who will tell you exactly what you want to hear in order to get you to buy their book, course or system.
They know that people want the easy way to success. (It’s human nature, we all want the quick and easy way!).
They know that most networkers for some reason are too shy or nervous to share their opportunity with their friends and family. So they prey on this and try to tell you that you don’t have to do it as long as you learn their secret which they will sell to you in their book!
The Truth of the Matter
You absolutely do need to share your business and product with your friends and family.
Here is why…
Your success is hinged on your ability to get a large group of people to perform a few simple activities consistently over a long period of time. (Write that down it is gold!)
Large incomes are earned from small commissions on the sale of product to large numbers of people on your team.
You do not make a very big upfront commission when you first sign someone up into your business. You earn a small commission from the product they order when they sign up. As well as each subsequent order they place.
Plus you earn a small commission off of anyone they enroll, and a small commission off the people they enroll, and a small commission of the people they enroll, etc. on down the line and throughout your whole organization.
I.e. you want to build a very big downline so that you can earn a very big paycheck from all the small commissions that add up quickly!
So clearly, the key piece of the puzzle is not only in your ability to enroll people but also in the ability of everyone on your team to enroll people.
To make this happen…
KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)
Yup you absolutely MUST keep the recruiting process simple. If you don’t you will eventually fail I assure you.
And guess what?
The easiest way for your team members to get started and to enroll people is to share the opportunity with the people they know.
It has been proven for years and years and it is a fact.
The more complicated you make the recruiting process the smaller the number of people will be on your team who will be able to do it and as a result less people will be joining your downline.
Here is the thing…
The process involved with sponsoring your friends and family is not hard, it is very simple. And if done correctly it works very well and can be very profitable.
I don’t care what people who want to sell you something tell you, it definitely works and every single network marketing business that has ever been built and that passed the test of time and lasted has warm market recruiting as the cornerstone and foundation of their business.
I know it works first hand as it worked for me…
I was able to create a six-figure income in under 8 months when I first got started in this industry by focusing on recruiting the people I knew and teaching my team to do the same thing.
Don’t Get Me Wrong
I am NOT saying you never do cold market activities; which is recruiting people you do not presently know i.e. strangers!
You absolutely will transition to do that. In fact, you have to, it is a must!
Remember the key to success is to always be recruiting. So when you run out of people you know to share your business with that is when you should begin training on how to recruit strangers. (cold market).
I am going to share with you my top 3 favorite cold market recruiting strategies in a second…
Clearly a Serious Topic
Hopefully you can tell by how much time I dedicated to this topic how important your warm market is to your success?!?
#7 – Cold Market Prospecting
OK the topic that everyone loves to talk about.
My rant on the importance of the warm market is over, so I’m just going to dive right into this topic and give you my top 3 cold market strategies.
1) Living Your Life. Which is exactly as it sounds. Just live your life as you normally do BUT while you are doing so stay aware of opportunities to expand your network. Which means meet people.
I am not advocating that you run around like a moron prospecting strangers here. All I am saying is that while you are out doing what you are already doing in the run of your day take time to meet the people around you.
It’s easy to do and can easily add 30 – 60 new people to your network each and every month.
2) Social Media Prospecting. If done correctly social media can provide you with a large number of new prospects for your business.
Notice I said if done correctly!
The reason I say that is that most network marketers are failing miserably on social media because they are doing it all wrong. Get trained on the right techniques to use and it can be a gold mine for you.
3) Internet Marketing. This one is a tricky one and one I hesitate to share with you. For the simple reason is that it is NOT simple. And remember when I said you need to keep your recruiting activities simple? Well this one does not fall into that criterion.
BUT… if you can heed my warnings with this strategy it can become a huge source of highly qualified leads for your business.
I’m not going to spend much time on this as this blog post is already long enough. However, one last area you really need to learn if you want to crush your network marketing business is Team Building.
Learning how to get your team to grow and become self-sufficient is a key factor in your success. It’s not difficult but you need to learn how to do it correctly as it is very important.
And in my opinion it really should be included in any conversation about what is the best network marketing training.
So there you have it my friend, you asked the question of what is the best network marketing training and I hope you have found that I delivered on this for you.
Let’s quickly recap:
=> You need to truly Make the Decision to be successful no matter what. Do this and success is inevitable.
=> If you want a hobby pick up stamp collecting, because success only comes to those who Treat Network Marketing like a Business. It’s not a hobby. If you want success give it the respect and time it requires and deserves.
=> Every single business is going to have it’s ups and downs. Personal development is how you survive those. Work harder on yourself then you do your job. All leaders Commit to a Daily Personal Development Regime
=> Focus on Recruiting. I think I have hammered this one home enough on this blog post. The point is to get very good at it. Make it a priority. Learn this one skill and you can write your own ticket in this industry.
=> Massive momentum is created by Launching or Re-Launching Your Business with a Bang. Put in massive energy at the start and get your business rolling and you earning.
=> When it comes to recruiting Starting with the People that You Know (warm market) is the secret and foundation to every successfully created long term organization.
=> As I have already said many times, you need to always be recruiting and once your warm market is tapped, it is time to Transition to Recruiting Strangers (cold market). Check out the 3 strategies I recommended in this post, pick 1 and get good at it, get results with it and then move onto the next.
And there you have it my friend!
Let me know in the comments if you have any questions on any of this?
Cheers to YOUR Success
