Prospecting is the key to your success. In fact it is the most important skill set you could ever learn. Outside of perhaps acting and athletics learning how to become good at sponsoring new distributors into your business is oneof the highest paying skills you could ever learn.
And the best part is that you can learn this skill set in a relatively short period of time. It really is not rocket science. Anyone with desire and determination can become good enough at prospecting to be able to create a 6 – 7 figure income.
It really just comes down to a decision on your part to do so.

We are going to start with my 2 offline prospecting strategies and then move onto my 2 offline strategies…
Offline Strategy #1 – The People That You Know
OK so I can already hear the groans from some of the people who are reading this. Yes you absolutely must go to your warm market before you start prospecting anywhere else.
So deal with it and just do it; get it done!
It does not matter what new fancy dancy recruiting system, outlet or tool that comes out, the foundation of any successful network marketing business will be the warm market.
I created a 6 figure income going to my warm market so I know it works and I know it is a powerful method if you do it the right way.
I highly encourage you to incorporate it into your teams plan.
The thing to understand is it does not matter if you have any success in your warm market at all. That is not the point of trying to prospect the people you know.
The point is that it gives you incredibly valuable experience!
You get to practice on the people you know before you go to the people you don’t.
You work out all of the kinks in your presentation. You fine tune your approach. And once you have burned through your warm market you are ready to hit the cold market like a nicely oiled machine. (You should be done with your warm market within 30 days).
Now I am not saying that you will not have success in your warm market. You very well might.
You very well might do what I did and crush it in the warm market. And if you approach them the right way you actually should expect to have success sponsoring people you know.
The other concept to understand is that if you go to your warm market then your team will go to theirs. I cannot stress how important it is that you make this part of your teams culture.
They will do what you do. If you teach this to your team it will create growth in your downline simply because it is easy and anyone can do it.
What is really exciting is you never know who has the next rock star in their warm market. You never know who is going to know someone who will blow your network marketing business up.
So in my opinion it really is a stupid mistake to not use this strategy.

Offline Strategy #2 – Living Your Life
There are many other ways offline to prospect for your network marketing business. Some work well, others not so much.
I have pretty much done them all.
From putting flyers on cars in parking lots, to having booths in trade shows, to calling leads, to going to the mall to talk to anyone I could see, to attending networking events and even picking up the phone and calling realtors in different cities I wanted to expand into (not a bad strategy).
But since social media has taken over our society in the capacity it has there simply in my opinion is no need to do those things any longer. As you will see in this post social media is a game changer and the perfect place to prospect.
But just because we all spend countless hours on social media these days does not mean we do not get outside every once in a while.
We all still meet other people thru the course of just living our day to day lives.
Whether that is at work, at a party, at a sporting event, at kid’s activities, getting your hair done, whatever and wherever it may be; the fact is you are meeting people when you are out and about.
For example: 3 of my kids play basketball. I am at their games and practices all of the time. And as a result I get to know the other kids parents.
Now I do not smack them over the head with my opportunity right then and there. In fact I never do at a practice or game.
Instead I get them on Facebook, continue to build a relationship and rapport with them and then I approach them when the time is right and see if they are open to looking at my opportunity.
Get good at keeping your eye open for talent. Get them on your Facebook, get to know them, build some rapport and see if they are open to taking a look at your business. Pretty simple and an easy way to add 10 – 20 new people per month to your prospecting list.

Alright… now let’s head online and look at my 2 favorite online places to prospect.
Online Strategy #1 – Facebook the Best Place to Prospect
You wanted to know what are the best places to prospect, well Facebook is the best place by far.
Learn the skill of recruiting on Facebook and it is lights out, you are going to crush it.
And the great thing is, it is not hard to learn how to do this.
Yes it takes time to develop your contact list and it takes a bit of practice and repetition to get it down pat, but you can do it and so can your team. It is very duplicatable.
The strategy you want to implement is one of you creating a brand around yourself. You want to become to be seen as a person of influence to a specific group of people.
What group of people depends on you. You need to decide who you are going to prospect. What type of person do you want to build your network marketing business with.
Not Everyone is Your Prospect
On Facebook not everyone is your prospect. You need a target market. A focus
The best target market for you to go after is actually people just like you. People you have things in common with and share similar interests with, people you can relate to and who can relate to you.
For me that is small business owners, entrepreneurs and people who like personal development.
It is important for you to figure out who your target market is because you have to know where to find them and you have to know what to say to them.
Remember I said you want to create a brand for yourself?
Well you do this by providing value to your target market. You create value by sharing with them helpful information around what they have an interest in.
So back to my example. I would provide my target market with information about small business ownership, tips on running a business, motivational thoughts, etc.
I would go out and find groups and pages where my target market hang out. I would join those groups and start providing value in those groups. I would start posting helpful, informative and entertaining information based on the subject of the group.
I would then start answering questions people ask in the group. I would start commenting on their posts and their comments. I would use the emoji’s to give them likes, loves, and laughs.
The more you provide value the more you will be seen as an influential person and the more you will be creating a brand for yourself. The more people will get to know, like and trust you.
Time to Make Friends
Now you can start adding some of them of these people you have been engaging with as friends.
Take a look at their profile and see if they would be a good prospect for your network marketing business. If so friend them up and get them over to your profile where you do the same thing as you did in the group; which is provide value and entertainment on your wall around the subject of the brand you are building.
Engage with your prospects on their wall, posts and comments.
Start sending them messages. Nothing to do with your business, just have normal human conversations. Don’t over think it, just be normal, no agenda, build friendships.
And when the time is right you can move ahead with seeing if they are open to taking a look at your network marketing opportunity.
A simple strategy and a great place to prospect!

Online Strategy #2 – Have Prospects Come to You
Is it really possible to have prospects come to you? Can’t be?!?
Yes sir it is indeed possible and many people are now doing exactly that. It is called Attraction Marketing and it is a hell of a powerful recruiting strategy.
How this works is you put out valuable content on the internet. This content could be in the form of a blog post, a YouTube video, a Facebook live, Instagram story, A Tweet, etc.
Prospects see your content and over time come to look at you like a leader. Someone who can help them solve their problems and help them achieve their goals.
- They start to follow you.
- They jump on your newsletter.
- They subscribe to your YouTube channel.
- They join your Facebook group.
- They contact you on messenger.
And all of this time you continue to provide them with content, helping them with their problems.
Eventually they come to the realization that the best course of action for them is to join you in your network marketing business. People will actually ask you what you are doing. They will ask you to sponsor them.
