Alright my friend in today’s Multi Level Marketing Training post I am going to give you 7 quick tips to get more sales.
People in the sales world would call them 7 quick wins.
Call them what you want but whatever you do make sure you don’t just read them but actually put them into action.
Start implementing them into your business building plan and let’s get your business cranking.
The first thing to understand is that when I say “get more sales” I am referring to not only selling products but more importantly recruiting new distributors.
Which leads right into tip #1…

Tip#1: Lead With Your MLM Opportunity First
One of the first training I ever received in this industry was if you wanted to build a big business versus a little business that it was crucial that you lead with your opportunity first and not your product.
Most people have an apprehension to sharing their opportunity with people for some reason or another.
They are afraid or nervous of rejection, which I believe is because they have a misconception that people will look at them in a negative light.
So instead they approach people about their companies’ products first. They believe this approach will be more accepted by their prospects.
If you want to build a big business this is a mistake.
It is very hard to earn much of a paycheck in network marketing by only selling the products. The compensation plan simply is not set up in a way that you can earn a big income just selling products.
Multi Level Marketing is designed for you to earn a small commission off of the sales of products from the people on the “multi levels” in your organization.
Instead of earning a lot from your own individual sales, you earn a smaller amount from the sales of all of the hundreds and thousands of people in your downline. Which turns into a whole ton of a lot more than what you could earn by yourself.
This is the power of MLM and how true walk away residual income is created.
Getting over your fear of leading with your opportunity will pay you very well.
Which leads us into the next tip…
Tip #2: How to Get Over Your Fear of Prospecting
First of all understand that your fear is an illusion.
F – alse
E – xpectations
A – ppearing
R – eal
As you get into action you will find that there was nothing to fear at all. None of your prospects are going to yell at you, beat you up or even make you feel bad.
No quality person is ever going to look down on you for trying to better yourself.
The people you know may not want to do the business with you, they may reject the business but they are not rejecting you. They are simply letting you know that it is not for them. And that is OK.
Kill Your Fear by Learning How To Prospect
Learning how to prospect the right way is the first step in getting over your fear of it.
Most people have the misconception that they have to sell, convince, chase and harass their friends and family to join their business.
Not only do you not have to do any of those things, you most definitely should not.
This is not a sales business. We do not sell anything. We let the company and their marketing tools do all of the selling for us.
Our job is to make friends (network) and than simply ask them if they are open to taking a look at an opportunity. It truly is as easy as that.
Start with the people that you know. Pick up the phone and give them a quick call and say something like the following:
“Hey Barbara, how’s things? I’m giving you a quick call because I recently started an internet business and I wanted to see if you would be open to doing me a favor and taking a look at it for me?”
That my friend is all there is to it.
Notice I did not try to tell Barbara anything about the opportunity.
Notice I did not tell her about the incredible product, the crazy amounts of money she can earn, the car bonus, the exotic vacations, etc.?
I did not tell her about any of those things. Instead I let the company tell her all about them. They are the professionals, they are the sales experts, let them do the selling.
How to Let The Professionals Sell For You
Using the above example, Barbara is either going to say yes she will take a look at it or no she will not.
If she says no she won’t just thank her and be on your way. If she says she will than you let her know you are going to send her some information to take a look at.
Your company or upline leaders will most definitely have a sales presentation you can send her, either a website, video or perhaps a Facebook group.
Send her the link to it, ask her when she can watch it and set a time to follow up.
That is it!! How much simpler of a business model could you ever find?
- Make friends (start with the friends you already have)
- Ask them if they are open to taking a look at an opportunity
- Send them a link to check it out
- Follow up with them
- If they like it, sign them up!
The best part is this simple business model pays so very well!
Tip #3: Don’t Sell, Learn to Tell Stories Instead
When I was first starting out I joined because I had a friend who was crushing it in the business. At the time he was earning around $15,000 per month.
I can assure you I told that powerful story to my prospects.
Sometimes I would let them know in the initial phone conversation with them when I was asking if they were open to taking a look and sometimes I would tell the story in my follow up call.
I kept it simple and just found a way to include it in the conversation.
It is easy to find success stories, your company will have hordes of them. Just go read some testimonials and find one that really appeals to you and your situation. One that you can relate to.
For me my friend’s story was so appealing because I knew if he could do it I could also. So I shared that with my prospects. If he could do it, I could and so could they.
Find a story or testimonial that resonates with you and share it with your prospects.
It is OK to explain to your prospect why you are doing the business. Whether it is to make some extra money, help pay for your kids university, buy a new house or car, save for retirement or to be able to quit your job.
Find a story of someone in your company who has done the same thing and share it with your prospect. Stories of people having success are powerful so use them.
Tip #4: Share Your Business Opportunity with at least 3 People Daily
You need to set goals with your business. Personally I recommend setting activity goals instead of result goals.
An activity goal would be: “I am going to meet 5 new people today” or “I am going to share my business opportunity with 3 people today”.
A result goal would be: “I am going to sign up 2 people into my business today.”
People who set result goals instead of activity goals tend to get discouraged when they don’t reach them.
You can not control the results, but you can control the activities.
You do not know who will join and who will not, you do not have control over that. But you do have control over how many people you will share your business opportunity with.
And here is the thing, If you do the activities the results will follow. It is a stone-cold fact that if you continue to share your opportunity with people, that some of those people are going to join.
So my very strong recommendation is that you set a goal of sharing your Multi Level Marketing business with at least 3 people daily.
If you want to create success for yourself even faster, increase that number. When I launched my business I was sharing it with over 20 people a day.
Sharing it with 5 – 10 people daily is very doable. And you will create some nice momentum in your business doing so.
But at the very least set a goal of sharing it with 3 people every single day.
Check out the following post for details on how to set goal for your business:
Tip #5: Set Up A Follow Up System
This is where so many network marketers completely and utterly blow it!
They go through all of the heavy lifting of actually making friends and reaching out to them to see if they are open to looking at an opportunity and than they don’t bother to follow up.
It truly blows my mind why anyone would do this.
I guess they believe that if the person is interested in the business opportunity they will reach back out to them. This never happens!
It does not matter if you have the most interested person in the history of the multi level marketing industry, you need to follow back up with them. They are not going to follow up with you.
Life gets in the way, they get busy, they get distracted and eventually they will lose interest.
You must follow up with them within 2-3 days of them having taken a look at the opportunity.
Schedule them into your calendar and make sure you call them back to collect their decision.
Follow Up Every 2 – 3 Days
The facts are that most of your prospects are going to need more than 1 exposure to your opportunity.
Most prospects who are interested after having looked at the presentation will have questions and want more information.
When they do you simply provide them with a new tool to answer their questions, such as:
- Conference call
- Team training call
- 3 way call with your upline
- Facebook group
Then make sure you follow up.
You want to be reaching back out to your prospect every 2-3 days, providing them with new information to look at until they have enough to make a decision whether the opportunity is for them or not.
Always remember the fortune is in the follow up!
Here is a post to help you learn how to follow up with your prospect and get the best results:
Tip #6: Get Trained to Use Social Media the Right Way
Social media is such a powerful way to build a Multi Level Marketing that you really need to take the time to learn how to use it correctly.
I have tons of training on this site to help you get great results using it and I will post some links to a few of them under this section to help you get started.
The following are some of the basics you want to get right.
Personal Profile Pic – Make sure your profile picture is of you. A nice head shot works great. Do not have any other people in the photo with you. Just you. Dress nice, do your hair and be smiling. First impressions are a big deal.
Work & Education Section – Resist the temptation to put your company name or website in this section.
The key to successful prospecting on social media is to create curiosity. You want people to wonder what it is you are doing and actually reach out to ask you.
Don’t let them find the answer on their own by seeing it anywhere on your profile.
Know Your Target Marketing – Unlike with your warm market, when you are building your MLM business on social media everyone is not your target market.
You need to know exactly what kind of person you are looking to target so you can gear your posts towards them.
Knowing your target market also makes it so that you can go out and find them. You will be joining groups and interacting and making friends with people in them.
Make at Least 5 Friends Per Day – Using the strategies that I train on, It is a simple thing to make friends on social media.
You want to set a goal of adding at least 5 quality friends daily.
Connect With a Min of 5 people Per Day – On your profile you want to message and/or comment on other peoples posts daily.
You want to complement them, interact with them, have meaningful conversations, strengthen the relationship, and really just make friends.
Do this with at least 5 people daily.
Post 1 – 3 Times Per Day – You need to be making lifestyle posts. Posts that show people who you are.
These could be you out living life, having fun, hanging out with friends, on vacation, boating, hiking, etc.
The more people get to know you, the more they will come to like and trust you and be more open to looking at an opportunity.
Prospect 3 People Daily – Using the strategy I shared above, simply reach out and ask your new friends if they are open to taking a look at an opportunity.
Do this with at least 3 people daily and you will start to create some serious traction in your business.
Now again those are the basics of building your network marketing business on social media, it is a straight forward strategy that anyone can do successfully. There is more involved with it then what I just shared but that will get you started, to learn more about this strategy go here:
Tip #7: Learn How to Market
This is an important tip my friend. As you are building your business using the strategies I outlined above be sure to allot some time to learn how to actually market your business.
There are two ways to recruit people in MLM. One is to actively go out and prospect people. The other is to engage in marketing activities that will bring people to you.
Prospecting is very much like hunting, where you are chasing the prey. Going out and looking for them.
Marketing is like fishing, where you put a lure out and attempt to attract the fish to you. They come to you.
When you are marketing your business you might run an ad on social media, post a video on YouTube or even write a blog post.
All of these activities are done with the intention of a prospect seeing it and becoming interested and reaching out to you.
There is a strategy in this industry that we refer to as Attraction Marketing. It uses these sorts of techniques to attract prospects to you. It is worth learning about and implementing as part of your business plan.
You can learn about it here:
