The first thing to understand when it comes to learning How to Succeed in Network Marketing Online is that you must also embrace succeeding offline.
I know I know mind blown! Ha
Bare with me for a second and let me explain…
You Must Move to Offline Quick
First if in your mind you are thinking you are going to be able to simply use the internet to have people sign up automatically into your business you need to change that way of thinking because it does not work.
You need to embrace using the phone…
You need to understand that yes you can generate leads online, absolutely, but your goal needs to be to transfer the relationship off line as fast as possible.
You will want to get your prospects on a call or a zoom call asap.
By doing so you will significantly increase the number of people you sponsor and equally as important you will increase the number of people you sponsor who actually stick around and do something.
Regardless of how you generate leads this business is a people to people business.
You need to build strong relationships with prospects and team members and that requires taking the relationship off line ASAP
Don’t Skip Your Warm Market (Big mistake if you do)
Secondly when you bring in new team members you absolutely want to have training and systems in place that will allow them to achieve some immediate success.
Do not sponsor a new distributor and immediately have them start blogging or running Facebook ads.
These forms of marketing have a learning curve associated with them and they will take time for your new team member to see any results using them.
You need to embrace the Warm Market. The people that we already know. Our friends and family.
So even if you build online and I do highly recommend that you do and I have tons of training on this site to teach you how to do so successfully; I still strongly recommend that you and your team always start building the business by approaching the warm market first.
The warm market is the easiest way to get started…
It is where people learn how to prospect and get a feel for the business and if done the right way it is the fastest way to get results.
The other thing to keep in mind with the warm market is that everyone on your team will know at least 200 – 2000 people and it is simply a complete waste not to to have strategies in place to target that very large and potentially profitable market.
Alright now that you understand the importance of taking anything you do online offline as quickly as possible I am going to share with you two strategies to help you succeed with building your network marketing business online.
Online Strategy #1 – Social Media
All we do to create success in our network marketing businesses is meet new people, become friends with those people (develop rapport/relationships), and then ask them if they are open to taking a look at an opportunity and of course following up to collect a decision from the people who were open.
That is it…
Write that down somewhere and remember it. What we do is simple!
So the first step in this process is meeting new people.
And social media and especially Facebook (at this time) has made that a very simple and straightforward process. In fact it has become a game changer for our industry.
People who would never have stood a chance in a million years of having success using the old school ways of building a business are now crushing it online thanks to social media.
A Right Way & A Wrong Way
Now of course there is a right way & a wrong way of using social media to build your business.
And guess what?
You guessed it, the majority of network marketers are doing it all wrong and failing miserably at it. And the reason for this is they are usingthese platforms to spam their business opportunity and product.
They are spamming and harassing the heck out of people. They are turning people off and ruining any chance they had of creating success.
Nobody likes to be sold to and everybody hates spam.
- So if you are posting your company links everywhere stop.
- If you are posting information about your product everywhere stop.
- If you are sending your opportunity links to people begging them to join you stop.
Instead what you need to do is remember what I said;
Step 1 to creating success is meeting new people.
Step 2 is to become friends with them.
Just being a human being and being social. Getting out there and engaging with people and getting to know them.
Instead of treating social media like your own personal spam machine, you need to treat it like it is a party.
People do not come on social media to be sold to. They come on social media to have fun, to have conversations, to be entertained, to be educated and to make friends and socialize with the ones they have.
Pretend You Are At A Party
So ask yourself if you walked into a party what would you do?
You would go talk to the people you knew.
You would meet new people and have normal conversations with them, you would not try to sell to them or recruit them.
You would laugh. You would tell jokes. You would share stories. You would have conversations around shared interests, etc.
So do the same thing on social media…
The Basics of Recruiting on Facebook
First make yourself look presentable. Fix up your profile. Have a nice profile picture of you smiling and looking good. Have a cover photo of you living life and having fun doing stuff you enjoy.
Add photos under your featured photos section showing the aspects of your life that you want people to see.
In your bio section write interesting things about yourself without giving everything away. Meaning do not post that you are a distributor for XYZ company, instead say you are an Online Entrepreneur (or something like that).
Next go out and meet people…
Start with the people Facebook recommends you become friends with. These people are typically friends of your existing friends. Send them a friends request and a message introducing yourself.
Keep it simple: “Hey so & so, Facebook suggested we should be friends, I sent you a friend request, how’s things?”
Next head out and find some groups that you have an interest in…
When it comes to succeeding online you need to have a target market. Everyone is not your prospect online.
So pick groups that you have an interest in and enjoy talking about. The people in these groups are now your target market and your prospects.
Join the groups and go in 2-3 times a day and act like you are at a party. Do not spam your company links. Instead post things the people in the group will find interesting, entertaining, funny and educational.
Also comment and like on other peoples posts within the group.
As you do this on a consistent basis you will start to get to know people.
People will start to follow you and some will start to send you friends requests and you can start to send out friends requests to the peopleyou are engaging with also.
Any time you send a friend request or receive one send a short private message:
“Hey so & so; it’s been good chatting with you in ABC group, sent you a friend request (or thanks for the friend request), how’s things?”
Now back on your profile page what you want to do daily is continue on with building the relationships with your new friends.
Again do this by still posting the things your target market will find interesting, entertaining, educational etc.
For every 10 posts you make, do this for 5-6 of them.
Now you also want to sprinkle in some lifestyle posts. Posts of you living life and doing things you love to do. This allows people to get to know you and see what you are truy about.
For every 10 posts, post like this 3 – 4 times.
And for 1 post out of every 10 you can now post about your business or product.
However you still do not spam…
What you want to do is make what is called a “Curiosity Post”.
What is A Curiosity Post?
This is where you make people curious about what you are doing instead of coming right out and telling them all about it.
You want to make them reach out to you for more information. Kind of like a movie trailer, you only get bits and pieces of the movie and it makes you want to watch it.
The best way to explain this is to give you an example…
Let’s say you are with a health and wellness company and are looking to promote their weight loss product.
Instead of saying “hey you should buy my weight loss product”, do a curiosity post like this:
First post a picture of you taking the product, but hide the name of it.
Then say something like: “Here I go, it is finally time to lose those 20lbs I have been wanting to lose, my friend lost 15lbs on this program, it’s my turn, wish me luck!”
That is it… and people are going to go nuts with curiosity over that post.
They are going to like the comment, and they are going to comment on it asking what you are doing. Do NOT tell them in the comments, simply reply that you have sent them a Private Message.
Now message them and say something like: “Hey so & so; I saw your comment, I can send you some information on the weight loss program I am starting if you like, let me know.”
BAM… powerful strategy my friend!
And moving forward your curiosity posts can be you updating people on the weight loss you are experiencing. Sharing stories of other people losing weight, etc.
Now Get Social
Outside of what I have just trained you on you will want to scroll through your news feed on a daily basis and like and comment on your friends’ posts.
As well send private messages and just have normal conversations. Develop the relationship.
And as the relationship becomes stronger you can simply ask them if they are open to looking at your opportunity.
Keep it simple and no pressure.
“Hey so & so, it’s been very cool getting to know you on here, I am not sure if I ever told you what I do? I actually have an internet business and I am always looking for fun people to build it with, I have no idea if it would be for you or not, but thought I would check in to see if you would be open to taking a look at it?”
Rinse & Repeat
Meet new people, develop a relationship, see if they are open to looking at your opportunity, follow up and collect the decision, rinse and repeat!
And that right there is the number one method to succeed in network marketing online my friend.
I recommend you and every member of your team use it immediately after going to your warm market.

One More Online Strategy
There is an additional strategy that I use and recommend in some cases.
I say in some cases as it is most definitely not for everyone and it is not necessary in order for you to succeed online.
It is not for everyone as it has a steep learning curve and it takes time to get traction with.
Having said that it is a very powerful strategy that once you have it up and running and are seeing results it can become a serious game changer for your business.
But heed my warning…
This strategy is to be used in addition to the warm market and social media strategies we discussed. It is not to be used instead of or as a replacement. It is something you do on top of the other methods.
Spend no more than 30% of your time working this strategy.
OK warning over, onto the good stuff..
How to Attract Prospects to You Instead of Chasing Them
The strategy I am referring to is called Attraction Marketing which basically puts the marketing aspect back into Network Marketing by using internet strategies such as blogging, video marketing, Facebook business pages, etc.
Using these techniques you go to work gradually branding yourself as an expert in a field of your choice.
Again using the weight loss example you would set yourself up on the internet as an expert in health and wellness. You could blog about nutritional tips, diet plans, workout routines, etc.
You could build a Facebook business page based on the same topic, you could run ads to it and do FB live videos on those subjects.
You could create a YouTube channel and create videos on the same topic.
You could create a newsletter attached to your blog, people subscribe to it and you send them newsletter emails again on the same topic.
You Are Becoming the Expert
What this is doing over time is branding you as an expert in your prospects mind. You become the Go To person for all things weight loss.
And when you become this expert in your prospects mind they are very open to any product recommendations you make.
And of course the product recommendation you are going to make is your network marketing companies weight loss product.
Pretty cool right? And it works incredibly well.
You can also build a brand as a home based business expert, doing all the same things however with a business focus instead.
Where you would be recommending your network marketing company as the solution to their home based business needs.

Time to Get Online
