Unless you get insanely lucky and sponsor a rock star recruiter who does all of the work for you; learning how to sponsor for network marketing and becoming good at is how you are going to achieve true success in this industry.
So good for you for looking into this subject, to me that means you are taking your business seriously and going after it.
Too many people come into this business and just give it a try. Which ends up meaning they tell their grand ma and a couple of other friends about their business and than quit when none of them join.
Success in Network Marketing requires that you treat it like a business and not a hobby. And like any business there are certain skill sets you are going to need to learn. And learning how to sponsor new distributors is one of the top skills needed.
In this post I am going to reveal to you my top 4 methods you can start using today to sponsor new distributors into your business…

The 2 Crucial Aspects of Sponsoring
There are 2 aspects that you have to master to recruit high numbers of people.
- Always having people to prospect. Which requires that you are always meeting new people.
- Knowing what to say to your prospect. Which includes how you approach them and how you follow up with them.
If you always have people to share your opportunity with and do so in the right way than you are going to sponsor people into your business.
So in today’s post I am going to cover both of these aspects for you.
We will cover my top 4 recruiting methods you can use to find new prospects so you will always have people to sponsor. And I am also going to provide you with scripts you can use so you know exactly what to say to your prospects.

Before I jump into my 4 methods of sponsoring that I am going to share with you today it is important to your success that I explain the following to you.
It is very important that you understand that your warm market, meaning the people that you already know as well as the warm market of your team members plays a crucial role in the long term success of your business.
Now today’s training is not going to be on warm market sponsoring; but I would be doing you a disservice if I did not stress how important it is to your business.
I am going to explain very quickly why that is and than I will point you to another post where you can learn to build from your warm market the right way.

Why Your Warm Market is Crucial to Your Success
Network Marketing is a unique business in that any activity you do to build your business you need to ask yourself not whether it will work, but rather will it duplicate.
Meaning if whatever business building activity you are doing is not able to be duplicated by the least talented person on your team than its effectiveness is going to be diminished. And your business growth slowed if not halted altogether.
Success in network marketing is achieved by building a team of people who also go out and build a team of people. As such the skill sets required need to be minimal, so that anyone can do it.
The new distributors you just sponsored are going to try to build their own team by doing what you do not what you say. They are watching you. Whatever you do, they are going to do.
As a result the more complicated or costly the activities than a smaller number of people on your team will be able to perform them; which diminishes the duplication on your team and slows your businesses growth down. (not a good thing!)
I am not saying do not use other methods, in fact I recommend and train on other methods and some of them you are going to learn in today’s post. What I am saying and what is important is that you include prospecting from the warm market as part of your business building plan.

Now once you have gone through your warm market it is important to continue prospecting and sponsoring people daily or your business will go backwards.
So the problem for most people becomes where do you find and meet new people and get them to know, like and trust you?
If you have been struggling with this, have no fear I have your back!
The following are the 4 ways I do this and as you will see the main focus is online with social media and Facebook.
Method #1 – Living Life
So the first and simplest method to implement is what I call “living life”.
All you do here is when you are out “Living Your Life” take note of sharp people.
All this means is during the course of living your life daily start to take notice of people who would be a good fit for your business.
When you find someone do not smack them over the head with your network marketing opportunity or product. Instead build a friendship/relationship. And than when the time is right, when some rapport has been built approach them about your opportunity.
Do not over think this method. Do not complicate it. It is a very simple and basic method that you can use to easily add 20 people to your prospecting list monthly. 20 people is only 5 people a week, less than 1 per day.
Here is an example of how this works in my life:
I have 4 children. 3 of them are heavily involved in sporting activities, basketball, football and dance. I am at a practice and/or a game at least once a day and sometimes twice.
Guess who else is there? Yup other parents, the coaches and even the referees. Now do I sit in the bleachers and start pitching them on my opportunity?
But what I do is be normal. I talk to them. I act like any normal human would. And over time a relationship is being formed. Rapport is being built.
Now here is the key to this strategy… add these new friends to Facebook!
Everyone is on FB. Add them as a friend and that is where you continue to build the relationship and rapport with them.
And after rapport has been built and the time is right you can ask them to look at your opportunity.
This method becomes very powerful if you are doing it consistently. Adding 10 – 20 people a month to FB, you will have people on your list daily where the time is right to approach them about your opportunity.
This is definitely a slower growth method, but one that is so simple to do that it makes no sense not to.
I do not recommend it as being your only method, but definitely as an add on to the following methods we are going to look at.
As you will see when it comes to learning how to sponsor for network marketing I am a big fan of Facebook and recommend you focus most of your time there. It is a game changer for our industry.
The next 2 methods I review use your personal profile on FB. Both of them are equally powerful.
I recommend that you pick one and start with it before moving to the next…
Method #2 – Passive Prospecting on Facebook
With this method what you need to understand is that most of the people who had success very quickly and with their warm market had what is called “influence”.
This means they were influential over a large group of people. And as a result many of the people they had influence over joined their opportunity.

This strategy applies this method.
The goal is to brand yourself as an expert on a topic of your choosing and than go out and provide value on that topic to people who are interested in it.
By doing so they come to look up to you and see you as a person of influence.
They come to know, like and trust you and as a result when you approach them about your network marketing opportunity they will listen to you and take the time to seriously look at it resulting in you sponsoring a large percentage of them.

Method #3 – Active Prospecting on Facebook.
This a more aggressive method than the last one. With this method you are actively going out and prospecting strangers on FB.
It works and is a great strategy to include on top of the passive strategy we just looked at, but be warned you will require thick skin. This is because you are going for no.
You will get a heck of a lot more no’s than you will yes’s.
And as long as you prepare yourself for that you will do great at this method because the more no’s you get than the opposite is also true, the more yes’s you will also get.
It is also a simple strategy.
Set up your profile the same way that you would for the passive FB strategy.
Then decide who you want to sponsor. What type of people?
Figure out where they hang out on FB. What groups and pages. Go and join them.
Take note of the people who are engaging on those pages. The people who are liking and commenting on those pages.
Go look at their profile. Do they look like they would be a good fit for your network marketing business?
If so than like and comment on their posts and comments in the group. Engage with them a little bit if you can.
Then comment on their comment or post and say:
“Hey Stanley I sent you a PM”.
Now send them a Private Message and say something like:
“Hey Stanley, I saw your comment on blah blah group, I really enjoyed it (thought it was funny, agreed with you, whatever)… I also noticed you live in Jacksonville. I am actually looking to expand my business into Jacksonville and was curious if you are open to taking a look at it? If not no problem”.
That’s it. Do that 20 times a day and you will see growth take place.

Method #4 – Attraction Marketing
OK so remember earlier on the rant I gave you about keeping your activities duplicateable and simple so everyone on your team can do them?
Well this one is the least duplicateable of the all of the methods I use. However it does duplicate.
The key here is to be very very strict and strong about your stance on it with your team.
If someone wants to implement this strategy it is paramount that you stress to them and are strict on making sure they do not spend any more than 30% of their time doing it.
And here is the kicker…. you don’t either!
Remember what you do your team will do. If they see that you spend all of your time doing attraction marketing they are going to also.
They need to see you actively prospecting using the other 3 methods I just shared with you. So be sure to share your results using those methods.
So What Is Attraction Marketing?
Attraction Marketing is where you use internet marketing to attract prospects to you.
– blog posts
– YouTube Videos
– FB Ads
What happens with this method is that your prospects actually come to you and want to learn about your business. Yup they come to you! Pretty wild.
It’s a very effective and powerful strategy…
Yup there is a big but.
There is a high learning curve to it, it takes at least 6 months to get any traction with it AND it can cost money.
Both of these things result in not many people sticking with it, becoming frustrated and quitting network marketing.
Also, it can be perceived as the “easy way” to sponsor people. And anything that appears easy is what your team will want to focus their time on. Which will hurt your and their business big time.
So long story short…
Attraction Marketing is a good strategy but should only be used in addition to everything else. Spend 70 – 80% of your time prospecting using the other methods we discussed and if you want to use Attraction Marketing spend no more than 20 – 30% of your time doing it.
I cannot stress how important this is. Too many network marketers have tried to build using this strategy only and have failed.
