There is no question that learning “how to get more leads in network marketing” is the one skill set that you must master if you want to have success in this industry.
This is a simple business model. What we do to achieve success is straight forward. It is not rocket science.
But so many people want to complicate the process. So many people want to make it 100 times harder than it is.
The following is ALL you need to do to have massive success in network marketing:
Find a way to meet people (get leads), ask them if they are open to looking at your opportunity, if they are provide them with information they can review, and follow up to collect a decision.
Rise and repeat.
That is it!
It is as simple of a business model that you could ever hope for.
Do that over and over and over again and you are going to achieve success period!
Pretty cool right?
Yup it is, BUT!
Yup it is, but the question then becomes…
“Well that is great Robb, but where do I find people to talk to? How do I get more leads?”
Well my friend there are countless ways you can get leads in network marketing, countless. People are literally everywhere.
I truly believe that when someone asks where can I find people to share my opportunity with; it comes from a lack mentality.
We need to switch our mentality to one of abundance. There is an abundant amount of people all around you. There is an abundance of people who are looking for and need an opportunity like yours.
And once you learn how to find them and approach them prospecting and recruiting becomes second nature and a simple straight forward process.
So in this post I am going to share with you my top 3 strategies of how to get more leads in network marketing…
The first one is going to be a simple offline strategy and the next two will be online strategies.
I recommend you absolutely use the first strategy and then pick one of the next two strategies to master before moving to the other.
Before I get started I am going to point out that none of these strategies should be implemented before you have gone to your warm market.
Yup the people that you know already. It is a stupid mistake to ignore this group of people and it will hurt your business in the end if you do.
The warm market is the foundation of your business.

All right on with the show… and here we go…
Lead Generation Strategy #1 – Living Life
So back in the old days before social media and the internet took over how we interact with each other as a society; your only real option of getting leads besides buying them (which is a terrible experience) was to get out in your community and meet people.
That would involve things such as:
- Joining networking functions and meeting people,
- Going to trade shows,
- Putting fliers on car windshields at the mall,
- Speaking to anyone within 3 feet of you (3 foot rule),
…and a whole host of other painful and not very effective strategies that simply did not work well and certainly did not duplicate.
However, there was one strategy from the “old days” that did work, was simple and did duplicate and I continue to recommend it to this day.
It’s Called Living Life
All this simple strategy involves is taking note of sharp people around you as you are out living your normal everyday life.
I am not suggesting that you should go out to intentionally recruit or meet people.
You are simply taking note of the sharp people you meet as you are doing whatever it is you do out in the community in the course of a normal day.
For example, my life is very centered on my children. I have 4 of them. The oldest is now in college but the younger 3 are still in high school and middle school. Those 3 are highly involved in activities.
Football, basketball and dance.
I am pretty much at an event of some sort at least 3 times per week if not 7. I am either picking my kids up from practice or sitting in a game watching them play, or at a banquet, or away for the weekend at a tournament, etc.
And guess who else is there doing the same thing?
Parents of all of the other kids.
For me that means 5 different teams. Basketball teams have around 12 – 15 players on it. Football teams have 30 – 40 players on it. And a dance team has about 8 dancers on it.
Do the math on how many parents that is. 55 – 65 other parents. Or better put 55 – 65 more leads for my business!
And that is just one example of 1 part of living my life.
I’m from Canada, I used to own a microbrewery, I love craft beer and every Friday around 4 pm I will head to the local microbrewery and have a pint or two with the locals.
Any given Friday there are at least 30 people there. And we are a close-knit group and everyone gets to know everyone. 30 more leads for my business.
I like to workout. My son and I go to the gym 3 -4 times per week and usually the same time each day.
Guess what the gym is packed with people. And people are creatures of habit, they go to the gym at the same time each day. So the place is packed with the same 30 – 50 people every day at the time I go.
Bam another 30 – 50 leads for my network marketing business.
I could go on and on with examples. But I am sure you are getting the point.
How to Convert These People to Leads
Now I do not solicit them at the game, pub or gym! I do not try to recruit them there.
No I live my life and I am social. I use my mouth and I talk to people. I engage in normal human conversations. I develop rapport and a relationship.
I then add them on social media whether that is Instagram, Facebook or Linkedin. I then use a strategy to prospect them that we are going to look at further in this blog post.
As for locating them on social media, it is not hard. Simply take their name and put it in the search bar and send them a friend request.
How do you get to know their name?
Why you ask them for it! Shocking huh?
Seriously just ask. Introduce yourself. Just say “I don’t think we have officially met, I’m Robb Corbett by the way, what’s your name”?
Don’t complicate things. This is simple, easy and just a normal human interaction.
So my advice is do not neglect this strategy, simply add it into your daily life.
Do not stress over having to meet a certain number of people per day. Just be normal, just live your life and meet people as you go.
Lead Generation Strategy #2 – Social Media
Social media has been an absolute game changer when it comes to getting leads for network marketing.
People are now living a very significant portion of their lives on social media.
It is how they get their entertainment and news.
It is how they interact with friends and family.
And it is how they meet new people.
There are billions of people on social media. Which means there are leads everywhere.
Now there is no question that there is more involved in just jumping on social media and harassing or spamming people.
There is most certainly a right way and a wrong way to use social media to generate leads and recruit them into your business. No question. And most people are doing it all wrong.
I have extensive training on this blog in regard to using social media to get more leads in network marketing. At the bottom of this post I will give you some links to learn how to use this strategy.
A Quick Look at the Basics
OK here are the basics of how this method works.
You are going to use your personal profile to build a brand around yourself. Your goal is to become known as an expert or an authority on a certain subject. To get people to see you as the go to person on that subject.
When you accomplish this your influence goes up with the people you are targeting. You become influential and people listen to and respect influential people.
You develop know, like and trust with them.
People will look at an opportunity if they know, like, trust and respect a person.
This is a very powerful strategy and it is a simple one once you learn the basics of it.
You can use this strategy on any of the social media platforms, however at the time of this blog posts writing I recommend Facebook and see it as the platform to use for a long time to come.
But What Brand Do I Build?
This is the first question people ask when I explain this strategy to them. And in the training I am going to give you links to this is all made clear.
However, your brand can be whatever you want it to be. Your brand will be based around whomever you choose as your target market.
I recommend that you choose a target market you share interests with.
- You could become known as the travel expert if you like to travel
- You could become known as the health expert if you like health and wellness.
- You could become known as the small business guru if you are an entrepreneur or love entrepreneurship.
- You could be the hiking, biking, skiing, boating or fishing expert.
It does not matter. The choice is yours.
You are developing a brand around your interests.
People will come to see you as the go to person and they will start to know you, like you and trust you and when you approach them about an opportunity they will take it seriously!
Having Influence is the Secret of the Top Leaders
Having this type of influence is powerful and you have seen it in action before. We have all seen the guy or gal who joins our network marketing business and seems to have immediate success.
They join and within a couple of weeks are soaring through the leadership ranks and crushing the compensation plan by enrolling tons of people.
How do they accomplish this?
They are able to accomplish this because somehow somewhere in their life before joining network marketing they created influence over a larger number of people.
They might be:
- a doctor,
- a small business owner,
- a community leader,
- a politician,
- a preacher,
- and yes even a leader from a different network marketing company, etc.
There are many different ways people create influence and social media has made it so anyone can make this happen for themselves.

Lead Generation Strategy #3 – Attraction Marketing
OK this is by far my most favorite strategy for generating leads. It puts the “marketing” back into network marketing.
Most of us in this industry know we have to network to be successful but we forget about the marketing part of the equation.
Now the last strategy I just discussed does implement some marketing techniques but they would be what I would consider active methods. Whereas Attraction Marketing uses methods that would be more passive.
With the last strategy you are going to “actively” go out and meet people. With Attraction Marketing you are going to engage in content creation that passively attracts prospects to you over a long period of time.
With the last strategy you will be going out and reaching 1 person. With this strategy your 1 piece of content you create has the potential to reach thousands of people over time.
What Is Content Creation?
When I say content creation I mean creating blog posts, YouTube videos, Facebook Ads, etc.
Attraction Marketing is basically internet marketing for the network marketing industry.
Your goal is to once again become known as an expert in a certain field. You want to brand yourself as the guru in your niche.
Typically, with this strategy you would pick one of the following 3 target markets:
Product Based – If your company sold a weight loss product you could brand yourself as the weight loss expert.
You would then produce content designed to help people who are interested in weight loss, thus becoming the weight loss guru. The go to person in the niche of weight loss.
And of course they will then be open to buying products you recommend, i.e. your network marketing company’s weight loss product.
Opportunity Seekers – There are millions of people daily who are actively looking for ways to make money online.
You could brand yourself as the Home Based Business guru and teach people all of the different options out there to make money. You would then become branded and known as the go to person in that niche.
People would look up to you as a person of knowledge when it comes to home business opportunities. And when you recommend your network marketing company as a good option for people, they will join you.
Network Marketers – Same concepts apply here.
There are millions of network marketers looking for solutions to help them get more leads and build their business.
You could become known as a trainer in the industry. As someone who can help them have success in their business. Provide training and tips to become successful.
Now I am not recommending you poach people away from their existing company but things change in people’s lives and in their businesses.
Some people quit their company for whatever reason. Some companies go out of business for whatever reason.
So there are countless networkers always looking to join a new one opportunity. And if they have come to know like and trust you as someone who can help them have success they are going to want to work with you in your company.
This is a powerful strategy once you get over the learning curve of how to do it and once you start getting some traction.
I will warn you that it can take 6 – 12 months to see that happen. So if you are interested in this method be sure to do it on top of what you are already doing and not instead of.
Keep actively prospecting while you are working on your Attraction Marketing.
