Today is an important training for anyone who is serious about learning how to build an MLM Team. It’s an awesome goal, very doable if you’re serious and in today’s training I am going get you started off on the right foot towards accomplishing your goal by discussing the 3 factors that are involved in successful MLM team building.
Let’s jump right into it…
Factor #1 – Get Your Head Right
This is without a doubt the most important factor when learning how to build an MLM team. Most people come into this business with their mind set all wrong and it is why most fail.
Most people come into this business thinking it is get-rich-quick.
They think that they will only have to talk to 5 – 10 people, enroll 5 of them and then have those people go do the same and their people go do the same and the business will just take off and it will be easy street from then on baby.
If you are thinking something along those lines, I have bad news for you. It ain’t gonna happen!
This is not get-rich-quick. It is going to take a lot more effort than you talking to just 5 – 10 people to become a success. And I hate to break it to you, but you are going to have to put in serious time, energy and effort to become a success.
Anything worthwhile takes time and effort, it is just the way it is.
So get your head right…
- What you have in front of you is a tremendous business opportunity.
- An opportunity that is better than any other out there for normal everyday people.
- An opportunity that can change your lifestyle and your family’s lifestyle for generations to come.
- An opportunity that if you do it right can drastically alter your financial situation within 6 – 18 months.
It is going to take work. It is going to take effort. It is going to require you learn new skill sets. There will be frustrations and setbacks; just like there is with every business and that is just part of the deal.
But if you are coachable. If you are not afraid of working 2 – 3 hours a night on your business.
If you are willing to put the effort into it and are not a quitter than you are going to experience success like you never dreamt was possible.
Remember if you treat it like a hobby it will pay you like a hobby. But if you treat it like a business it is going to pay you like a business plus give you a lifestyle of freedom that most don’t even know is possible.
So whatever it takes is what is required and whatever it takes is so worth it!
Factor #2 – Learn to Become a Recruiter
There are two skill sets that you need to develop when you are learning how to build an MLM Team.
The first and in my personal opinion the most important is learning how to become a top dawg recruiter.
You need to get it into your head that this is what we do in network marketing. We recruit new distributors. We do so on a regular basis and we do so for our whole career. It’s what we do.
You are a professional recruiter. You absolutely must get good at this 1 skill set.
I don’t care if you are making 200k per month or $500 per month you need to be recruiting new distributors into your business on a monthly basis. If you are not then your business is going backwards.
Recruiting is what we do…
Don’t Let That Scare You
Now I know for some that this can be daunting and concerning for them. Don’t let it be. Think of it this way…
When I first figured out that all I needed to do to live the life of my dreams was to learn 1 skill set I got pretty excited.
All I needed to do was learn how to enroll 3 – 5 people per month and I could create a lifestyle only few dream of.
I got pretty damn excited, and you should too!
And guess what anyone can learn this 1 skill of recruiting. Think of all of the skills you have learned over the course of your life. They are literally countless.
And all you have to do is learn 1 more, just 1 more.
Learning how to successfully recruit in network marketing is not hard. Getting good enough to recruit 3 -5 new distributors monthly is very do-able for anyone.
What we do is not hard…
Recruiting Really is Simple
Successful recruiting is simply meeting new people daily, developing some rapport or a relationship with them and simply asking some of them on a daily basis if they are open to looking at your MLM opportunity.
Do you think you can meet people? Of course you can!
Do you think you can get to know the people you meet even just a little bit? Of course you can!
And do you think you can ask these people if they are open to looking at any opportunity? Of course you can!
That is it! Don’t over complicate what we do, because in the end it really is simple.
Social Media has made recruiting so much easier for network marketers. Back in the old days you had to do this off-line. You had to get out of your house and go and meet people. It was really your only option.
And to be honest that was not even what I would call hard. And I think it should also be part of your business plan. While you are out living your normal day to day life keep an eye out for sharp people. Why not?
Now having said that Social Media is a game changer…
People are everywhere and if you use the right strategies of meeting and prospecting them recruiting 3 -5 into your business monthly is a very real possibility for anyone in this industry.

I encourage you to really focus on developing this skill set, it will pay you so well if you do.
Factor #3 – How to Create Duplication
Now I am a firm believer that recruiting is the number 1 skill set you need to develop; but almost as important when learning how to build an MLM team is figuring out how to create duplication in your organization.
Which means the team starts to grow exponentially on its own without you babysitting it…
Meaning you could step away from the business and it will continue to grow without you being there. This is what you need to learn how to accomplish if you want a successful business.
Most network marketers get this all wrong.
They will enroll people and then babysit the hell out of them. They will coddle them and hold their hand. They will spend countless hours on the phone with them, trying to get them to get to work.
They give their new recruits way too much attention which ruins them and teaches them bad habits also.
When building a team it is crucial that you have systems in place to train the distributors. Training websites, get started calls, Facebook groups, training events, etc.
You also want to have systems in place to answer their questions.
Get your recruits plugged into these systems right away.
The point is you cannot get stuck wasting your time training 1 on 1 and answering countless questions for your team. You want to be there to support them and help them but use the tools to train them and answer their questions.
You need to lead by example and the example you want to show is that of being a recruiter. They need to see you prospecting and recruiting.
The Key is to Get People Started Right
So what you do is get the new person you enrolled started the right way, and this is done by having a quick call with them when they join.
The purpose of this call is to get them started on their training…
Point them to the training resources and then send them on their way to get trained. Tell them to get back to you when they have completed the get started training.
This is called giving assignments.
If someone completes the assignment you give them another one. If they don’t well then you know they are not serious and you are not wasting your time.
For example if someone completes the first assignment by getting through the training and then lets me know they have I will now have another short call with them to review what they learned to confirm they understand how to build the business and I will then give them a new assignment to go and launch the business.
This could be making their first 10 prospecting calls. It might be to hold a grand opening. It just depends on how your team builds their business.
Once they have completed that assignment they are to contact me, we will review how it went and I will give them a new assignment and so on.
The serious people will make themselves known. The serious people will do the assignments and start to get results. The quitters will quit. And both of those things are great and are part of the process.
Now there are other factors involved with building a team that you need to understand, things such as keeping your business building activities duplicatable and learning how to make and build up leaders within your team, etc.
I am not going to go into all of them today as it would make for a long post; however the following links are some important trainings on team building I recommend you check out:
