I can remember back when I first started out in this industry getting so frustrated trying to find network marketing prospects for my business. It would drive me absolutely freaking crazy when I would ask my upline (who is a huge name in network marketing) what I could do to find more people to share my business with and he would tell me to just go make another list.
Another freaking list? Another list??
With what people?
You see I was actually one of those strange people who did talk to everyone in my warm market and I had success doing so. My list was tapped and I was done chasing and harassing the people on it who had already said No like 10 times each.
There were no more people to make a list with.
My warm market well… “she gone”!
It was time to find new prospects to sponsor and my up line was not going to help me do so; so it was up to me to figure this out.

Yup it sure is!
If you do a search online I am sure you will find supposed “gooroos” posting things like 21.7 ways to find leads. 37.2 ways to locate prospects. 19.5 places to find people to recruit.
Haha… come on, talk about information overload and I can promise you that 99.99% of the places they are talking about are a waste of time.
Yes there are a few other methods to locate prospects that I train on; however the following strategy is a perfect place to start and if you do it right you will find an endless amount of prospects to recruit into your network marketing business.
My Number 1 Strategy – Get in on the Social Media Gold Rush
It really is a gold rush. Not since the gold rush days has there been a way for average everyday people to create serious wealth.
I can remember very well when I first learned about social media. For you middle aged people like myself you will probably recall when Myspace came out.
I was pretty pumped when I discovered it.
I remember telling other leaders in my company what a gold mine is was. Here was a place filled with people to talk to about my network marketing business day and night. And did I ever. And even though I did it all wrong I actually did recruit people into my business on there.
Myspace was the predecessor to Facebook, I don’t even know if it still exists, it made some serious mistakes years ago that Facebook learned from and Facebook is now where you want to focus your time and energy finding prospects.
Instagram and LinkedIn would be close seconds depending on who your target market is, but I would start out mastering Facebook first.
Regardless of which platform you choose to focus on the point is you need to be on at least one of them.
If you ignore it you are missing out on a huge opportunity. Finding your perfect prospects for your business is simple when you know how. And learning how is not hard. Recruiting on FB is a very simple and straight forward process if you know the right strategies to use.
But the problem is that most people have no clue how to use Facebook, they are doing it all wrong and as a result are failing miserably.
Why Most People on Social Media Fail
There are network marketers absolutely crushing it on Facebook. Building 6 & 7 figure incomes from the comfort of their home using only their computer or phone.
But the opposite is also true…
There are a whole lot more networkers failing miserably on Facebook. Doing a ton of damage to their own reputation and the network marketing industry as a whole.
The reason for this is simple, to put it plainly they have no idea what in the hell they are doing.
Something strange happens to marketer’s brains when they get on Social Media.
They tend to forget that it is supposed to be social. They leave the social out of social media and instead they replace it with spam.
In most network marketers minds whether they realize it or not it is Spam Media to them.
- Spambook instead of Facebook.
- InstaSpam instead of Instagram.
- SpammedIn instead of LinkedIn.
- SpamTube instead of YouTube.
Yup I could go all day with this! Lol… but you get the point.
They blast their opportunity links all over the place.
They spam the heck out of their wall, their friend’s walls, and groups.
They post before and after pictures relentlessly.
They message friends, family and complete strangers with the played out copy and paste messages that everyone is sending and simply don’t work.
They make stupid post on their walls saying: “I’m looking for 5 more people to help make an extra $1000 this month”. Come on man we know you would take 100 more people if you could and everyone and their dog knows you are not even having 1 person respond in a year, let alone 5 monthly.
People see through this junk. It annoys the hell out of them. It is garbage and does not work. So if you are doing this stuff or anything like it, STOP NOW!

What to Do on Social Media to Grow a Huge Downline
When it comes to finding network marketing prospects and recruiting them on Social Media, you need to come out of the spam trance and remember how you act offline and do that instead.
Social media is very much like going to a party.
At a party would you do any of the following?
Walk up to a complete stranger and whip out your before and after picture and say hey do you want to buy my weight loss shake?
Walk into party and start yelling, “hey I’m looking for 5 more people to help make $10,000 a month, who’s with me?”
Walk into a party with your company logo and banner tattooed all over your face.
Walk into a party and see an old friend you have not talked to in years, go over to them and say; “hey I know we have not spoken and years and we should really catch up some time, BUT I have a business opportunity do you want to do it”?
No you would not do any of these things. And if you did you there would be a big chance you would be booted out of the party and definitely not be invited back again.
So why do people do all of those things and worse on social media? I don’t get it. It blows my mind. If you do any of those things you are turning people away, you are repelling them.

How to Attract Prospects to You on Social Media
How cool would it be to actually have your prospects ask you what you are doing? Ask you what business opportunity you are in. Ask you how they can get started also. Ask you for more information about product. Ask you about buying your product.
It would be very cool wouldn’t it?
And if you use Facebook the right way you can have this happen to you with many of your prospects
And with the rest of them what you will find is when you approach them they are going to be much more open and receptitive to your opportunity and product.
Using the right strategy you will have more people saying Yes to your business.
So what is the right strategy?
Having Influence is the # 1 Secret in Network Marketing
Have you ever been at a company convention or on a company call and some new guy or gal who has never done network marketing before or who is new to your company gets some serious recognition for crushing their business right out of the gates?
Somehow this person just joined and in no time at all is soaring up the leadership board, rank advancing left and right, building a massive team and earning a serious income check in no time.
How is this possible? How are they able to build their business so insanely fast?
Does this person have something you don’t?
The fact is that in most cases they actually do have something you don’t!
And this thing they have is called Influence!
Somehow somewhere through something they have done in their life prior to network marketing they were able to create influence over a large group of people.
When you have influence:
- People look up to you
- People respect you
- People look at you as being a leader
- People look up to you as being knowledgeable
- And when you ask your prospects to look at your network marketing business they do.
And not only do they look at it, they take it seriously. And as a result of you having this influence over them many of them will join your business.
In their minds if this person they look up to and respect is recommending this opportunity then they immediately think it must be something good.
Creating Influence is Easier Than You Think
Now in the old days off line creating influence took a long time; years in fact and it was not an easy thing to do.
The reality was that you either had it or you did not.
If you did not have it and you wanted to create success in network marketing you had to prospect huge numbers of people, you had to work the numbers big time. You had no other choice.
But nowadays because of the internet and social media creating influence is much more do-able and I would go so far as to say it is simple!
Anyone with desire and determination can learn to build influence and start recruiting large numbers of new distributors in a relatively short period of time.
Once you start to do this, once you start to implement this strategy you will never turn back. It makes building your network marketing business fun again. It removes the rejection and pain of prospecting. And it is very proftibale.
Two Paths You Can Take
OK so there are two paths you can take to create this influence on Facebook.
I actually recommend you use both methods.
The first method is using your person profile and it is the most duplicatable method. You can get your team using this method along with you and they will also see success with it. You can get up and running with this strategy on day one.

The second method involves using a business page. It is not as duplicatable. I would only share it with the leaders on your team. There is a bigger learning curve to it and it takes a while to get some traction with it.
BUT when you do it is a complete game changer. You will literally have prospects contacting you daily asking about your opportunity. Eventually you will have so many you will have to start sharing them with your downline. Good problem to have.
My guess is since you are taking the time to read this post you are serious about building your network marketing business and are shooting to create a 6 or 7 figure income. You are a leader and because of that I would recommend this method to you. It will set you apart from the masses in a big way.
