Today we are going to talk about Facebook Network Marketing Scripts, whether you should use them and if so when and which scripts work the best?
I love Facebook and Social media in general as they have literally been a God send for our business.
Maybe like me, you can remember back to a time before Facebook when we had to build our network marketing businesses pretty much offline.
It was tough…
After you ran out of your warm market it was really hard to find prospects. You definitely had to leave your house to do so.
Your only viable options were to attend every business and networking function in your community that you could find, in order to meet as many people as you could.
And oh boys… who remembers trade show?
I can remember going to every trade show within a 4-hour drive of where I lived, running around collecting business cards from all of the other business owners at their booths.
Then the really fun part was having a giveaway draw at my booth where people left their name and number. Then having to follow up with these people who thought I was calling them because they won a prize, but instead I was soliciting them about my network marketing business.
Oh yes the great times we had back then! 🙂
Facebook Has Changed It All Forever
But now with Facebook all of that has changed.
Literally by turning on your computer and logging in you have access to billions of people?
If you had of told me years ago that some fancy dancy innovation would be invented that allowed people to meet and get to know other people from the comfort of their home just by turning on their computer my mind would have been blown.
But that is now exactly what we have.
But of course there is a catch. There always is. Like everything else you have to use it the right way or it will be useless to you.

How to Use Facebook the Right Way
Even though this is a post about using scripts the right way and not so much a full in depth instructional of how to recruit and prospect on FB, it is important to understand the basics of what you should be doing.
The main thing you want to always remember and keep in mind is to act normal.
I say this because there seems to be something weird that occurs when people go online. They immediately go from being a normal human being to be being a walking talking bill board. A spammy tammy or a Spamela Anderson.
So if you are just looking to find some scripts to blast out to complete strangers you are on the wrong path.
Remember Social Media is One Big Party
Instead of spamming what you want to do is think about how you would act at a party and do the same thing on social media.
You would not walk into a party and start walking up to people and try to immediately try to sell them on your MLM opportunity.
You would not walk into a party holding up a banner of your product or company.
But that is exactly what the majority of networkers do on Facebook.
They slap their company banner all over the place. They post pictures of their product everywhere.
They become SPAM!
News flash that does not work, never has and never will. If you are doing that stop as you are wasting your time and you are making the industry look bad.
Be normal! Be a human. Be entertaining, informative, funny, and conversational. Be You! Be scripted but don’t read or post verbatim from a script.
OK enough of that, for more details on exactly what to do on Facebook to prospect people for network marketing again you can check out this post: Network Marketing on Facebook – Your Step by Step Strategy
Should You Use Scripts?
Yes and No…. As I just said you need to become scripted but you should not use the same exact script over and over again.
Huh what Robb?
What that means is that you should know what to say. You should know where you are going and what you are trying to accomplish with your prospect but you should not sound like a robot or a telemarketer reading from a script.
Understand what to say but put it in your own words. Again be you!
So that leads us to what you should actually be saying and that depends on who you are speaking with. You are going to have two different types of prospects on Facebook:
- People that know you
- People that don’t know you
What to Say to Prospects That Know You
If you follow the strategy I teach then you are going to have prospects that know, like and trust you.
They are no longer strangers. You have developed rapport with them and they are now your Facebook Friends.
If and when I am ready to approach those type of people about my business opportunity it is a very straight forward process.
Right before you message them take note of something they have posted or something on their profile.
Then I say something like:
“Hey George, I got a good laugh about your post about blah blah. Listen I have been meaning to touch base with you. I have a side project I have been working on and I thought it might be something you would be interested in. Let me know if you are open to taking a look at it and I will get you some information. If not no worries. Cheers man”
Now a couple things on that:
- Again do not repeat that word for word. Make it your own. There is nothing magic to the wording of it. I mix it up every time I send a message. My messages would never be the same. I am just real and I am being myself.
- Make sure to say something about checking to see if they are open to looking at it. And say something like “no worries if you are not open”. Because you don’t want them to feel pressured.
Once they have said they are open and will look at it, now get them to commit to when they will watch it.
Here is an example of how that script would go:
George says yes he is open to looking at it.
I would say:
“Right on George, appreciate you taking a look. I’ll send that information right over. It will take you about 20 minutes to check it all out, when do you think you can take a look?”
Now when he gets back to you with a time that he says he will take a look, send him the information that your team or company uses to show people the business opportunity.
And then be sure to follow up with him at the time he said he would be done checking the information out.
What to Say to Prospects That Don’t Know You
Now I do not teach this strategy as much, but it does work and if you are really hungry and want to get at it then I recommend doing this as well.
So the main strategy I teach is going out and creating influence, getting people to know, like and trust you.
Developing some rapport.
Focus most of your time doing that. But I will admit that it can take time.
So on top of that if you have extra time and want to really get into action do the following:
- Find some Facebook groups that would be filled with the type of people you would like to recruit. They could be realtors, entrepreneurs, teachers, coaches, health and wellness people, whatever it does not really matter as long as you can relate to them.
- Go through the group and note who is commenting and providing value. Check out their profile. Do they look sharp? Would you like them on your network marketing team?
- If the answer is yes, then like their post, comment on it and tag them in the comment and tell them you sent them a Private Message.
- Now send them a private message and use the following script (in your own words):
“Hey Peter, I saw the post you made in Blah blah blah group, I enjoyed it (thought it was funny, agreed with it, whatever). I noticed you are from New York, I am actually looking to expand my business into New York and wanted to see if you would be open to taking a look. If so I can send you some information, if not no problem, Cheers”
It is important that you understand that using that technique and network marketing scripts like I just shared with you is a numbers game.
When you use a strategy like that you are actually going for “NO” as they say. The more no’s you get the closer to a yes you are getting.
Play the numbers and there is no question that you will recruit people.

Now Get To Work
That is it my friend. Keep it simple and easy. Do not over complicate this.
When it comes to using Facebook Network Marketing scripts it is really not that complicated, so don’t over think it.
Just be yourself and know what the end goal is you are trying to accomplish with your prospect. What actions you want them to the take and the process you want to walk them through.
If I can help you with this or if you found value from this post drop me a comment in the comment section below.
